Here comes the boss

Some more goofy metadata for this one. Like the case of Fighting Vipers 2 in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, the inclusion of SpikeOut: Final Edition in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth marks the first ever home port of this particular SEGA arcade game. I’m not sure I’d say it was worth their time, though. This game sucks!

I mean, okay, obviously I’m in favor of it in the name of preservation, but do not waste an entire hour and change blasting through this in the first couple hours of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth like I did. Play that much better game instead.

Maybe it was my fault I didn’t enjoy it, though. SpikeOut is a 3D brawler that supports up to four simultaneous players, but I insisted on going it alone, and I got my ass beat constantly as a result. Fortunately, I had enough yen to continue enough times to beat it, but it was a total slog. Maybe it’s way more manageable with friends! I don’t know if the version included in Infinite Wealth supports multiple players, but maybe I’ll give it a look someday and update this post. Hell, maybe I’ll even play it with someone else an update this post. Who knows?

For now, I can’t recommend this game. Give a longplay a look on YouTube if you must.
