Well, as I insinuated in my post about the first Klonoa, I did end up liking Klonoa 2 a good bit more than its predecessor. It’s got fun new snowboarding levels, slightly tighter platforming (or I’m just better at it), and an even prettier world.

But honestly I still think it’s pretty inessential! It’s a decent little platformer, but that’s about it. It’s sort of a shame because the challenge levels in this game (and the first) show some potential if this were ever to pivot to being a super challenging platformer (the likes of which has become more popular since this series’s heyday). The enemy throwing mechanic granting you a new jump in mid-air can make for some really fun, tricky stuff! But that only accounts for about two levels in Klonoa 2.

The rest is fine but nothing to write home about. So I’m gonna stop writing on the internet about it!
