Why should I care? The original version of Resident Evil 2 thrills and terrifies brilliantly to this day. Don’t overlook it just because it has a shiny 2019 remake. X Gon’ Give It to Ya Happy October! Every year around this time, I like to play spooky, scary, frightening, or otherwise occult-themed video games.

Google put out another Pac-Man Doodle, this time with a Halloween theme. It’s a fun little holiday surprise. Eight levels of classic, dot-munching gameplay. Go read about it and play it right here if you’re still in the spirit.

Why should I care? Pumpkin Jack is a great homage to the heyday of 3D platformers with ample ideas and identity of its own. Gourd evening We’re rounding out October here as on-theme as ever. A complement to Halloween Forever, Pumpkin Jack is a three-dimensional platformer starring a pumpkin-head man. It’s particularly interesting because it is a one-man project and rather grand in scope given that constraint.

Why should I care? Toby Fox’s wildly popular indie RPG is rightly lauded for its charm and genre subversions, even if I don’t think it’s all that. you’re gonna have a good time. A little story about monsters seemed like a great option to continue my October gaming, and the old indie-friendly Vita I busted out recently put Undertale back on my mind.

Why should I care? It’s October, baby, get in the spirit with a retro platformer full of ghouls, ghosts, and other Halloween delights. Get pumped It’s not often I have a reason to bust out the lowly, under-supported PlayStation Vita. In fact, I believe the last time I finished a game on the platform was a couple months before I started this blog some five years ago.

This was the first of the two games I decided to play and stream for October. That also makes it the first game I’ve ever played through entirely on stream!
That made it a pretty interesting experience. I’m not sure it’s something I want to make a habit of, but as a holiday gimmick it’s not bad.

Clear Platform: PS5 via Backwards Compatibility Playing this was only a matter of time after playing the sensational Devil May Cry 3. The time has come, and so have I. 🎵
It was not as good.
But it was still pretty good!
Devil May Cry 4 uses extremely the same formula as the third game, but this time you play a little over half the game as a new character named Nero.

As mentioned in my previous post, Ultimate Ghosts’n Goblins was the last game in the Ghosts’n Goblins universe starring Arthur that I had left to beat. Shortly after that post, I started playing it, which naturally led me to research it a bit. What I discovered and did not know at the time of writing “GAME CLEAR No.

Developer: Capcom

Continuing my October/Halloween trend, I’ve knocked out Super Ghouls’n Ghosts! With a double jump, more weapons, and more armor, it’s more interesting and has more going on than its predecessors, but whereas the second game was a bit easier than the first, Super is damned hard, especially the final level. Maybe I was just tilted, but I found the penultimate boss extremely frustrating (mostly because of the mediocre weapon you’re forced to beat him with).

Although I also record them elsewhere (such as my Backloggery), I’m gonna start recording my beaten games (and thoughts on them) on my blog. Will be nice to have them somewhere owned by me. This obviously isn’t this first game I’ve ever beaten, but it’s the first game I’ve beaten since deciding I want to do this, so I’m calling it number 1.
